Good Afternoon, Happy Wednesday - once again, I can't believe we're half way through the week!! Before you know it, it'll be Christmas again! But, whatever - there's going to be a summer in between and before then so that's something at least. Loads of lovely garden parties, evening drinks in bars along the river, watching the boats come in, and pretty weddings are all something to look forward to. I can't wait!
Speaking of summer and all things warm.....and non-rainy: the lovely ladies at Bonmarché asked to send me a dress from their new Spring/Summer collection to review. Initially, when I think of Bonmarché, I conjure images of older ladies and bright florals prints - now, don't get me wrong, I'm no spring chicken I admit, so when they asked me to review a dress, I was a little skeptical to be honest. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a few items on their website that I really liked.
This lovely Black and White Peplum wrap dress is beautiful, as I've mentioned previously on the blog: I don't often wear black, but because of the spotty design, this dress appears striking and slimming, yet elegant and sophisticated. The dress is actually from a collection by fashion designer David Emanuel (The guys who designed Princess Diana's wedding dress). The fabric is super soft with a gentle stretch and the shape is very good. The length is also perfect too and as a petite person myself, this is most excellent!This is definitely a dress I'll be wearing more of this summer.
I also love that - as with many Black and White dresses - I can accessorise with lots of colour and obtain a retro feel :)
