With the weather turning chilly, the UK is preparing for snow! That means: for us British people living in the UK, things are about to turn crazy! Yep, Crazy, because here.....if it snows, it makes news headlines :D hehe!
For me, I am preparing in other ways......keeping the house warm, watching The Carrie Diaries and creating new outfits that are warm and snuggly.
This New Look dress is colourful and the fabric is super light. I picked it up whilst thrifting last year and I definitely intend to wear it in the warmer summer months too......but for now, layering it up is the only way to go!
The blouse and tights are vintage 1970's that my Nan gave me a few years back - cosy :)
The belt (which I wear with everything) came with a mustard vintage skirt that I don't wear much anymore, although I should really because I used to love wearing that.

The shoes I bought from Office a couple of years ago - in the sale (Of course)!

I then noticed how the sun was shining beautifully through the bay window and decided a little photo or two was necessary, just to make the most of it you understand ;)
- although Harrison had other idea's.......it seems everytime I get the camera out recently, he associates it with playtime and adopts this bouncy puppy persona. Oh, and creating fuzzy black blurs in most of my pictures!
Yep, bribery is the key here.........

Harrison is so cute hehe!
ReplyDeleteI always struggle with how to wear vintage when it gets cold, I never thought to layer like this but it looks fantastic so thanks for sharing! I have loads of dresses, just not so many blouses to layer them over; think I'll be on the look out for some to get me through the cold weather! :) x
He is, it's like he knows he's being photographed hehe!
DeleteLayering up this way is only a recent discovery myself - makes my usual wardrobe so much more versatile :)
