A Traumatising Night and An Exhausting Morning..........

pinkkitsch 5

So, it's been a funny few hours - and I don't mean funny "haha".

I'd like to think I live in a nice neighbourhood. I do: expect people to politely chat in the street, to watch out for each other........to even lend you that cup of sugar (I've never asked, but I'm sure I could if I needed it). Because this has always happened. I do not however expect my next door neighbour to burn his own home down. And......might I add this little edit......He tried to burn it down!

Yes! You read it right. Last night my neighbour tried to smoke us out.....well, yes, I'm probably being a little dramatic, but - it was pretty terrifying being evacuated at around midnight, in my pyjamas and in my old dodgy slippers (that, by the way, leak in the rain). It was raining and we literally just got out of the house as the firemen extinguished the flames before they spread too far (like onto our house for example). It was terrifying, not to mention humiliating, and then today - exhausting.

Yep, I didn't sleep a wink last night, on edge and in disbelief - but that was my evening.........and - we were half way through watching Sherlock S2 E1 - argh!

Today, I am literally trying to finding my bearings and taking it easy(ish) - I think we all pretty much feel traumatised by this right now..........lots of coffee today I think.

Nothing like a bit of drama on my little lifestyle blog eh?
