It's Sunday.......the day of rest!! or in my case: the day of housework and chores!
Alas, I still managed to fit in some bloggy stuff.
I can't remember if I'd shown this vintage dress on the blog before. But I found it again, tucked away, crammed deep into my wardrobe; quietly nestling in-between a 1950's sequin top and a vintage velvet folk jacket. Yep, I thought it deserved a little outing on the blog. Besides, cobalt blue is apparently tipped to be "the colour" this season.
Of course, being a vintage girl and all, I don't really follow fashion per se - however, I just happened to have this dress and the colour happens to be in vogue :)
Like most of my vintage pieces, I picked this dress up around 3-4 years ago in a charity shop and it cost around £5. In fact, all of this outfit has been thrifted when I look at it.

Looking so serious in this one, but I was in a good mood, I promise - the sun was shining and what more could a girl want mid January?

This headscarf I picked up a few weeks back, I love it's peachy nature.....and the blue tones too, that compliment the dress....
I can't remember when or where I acquired the gloves, they may have been thrifted, or the might have been my late Nans - I have a little stash of these vintage gloves. I even have a navy pair that I found in my box today. I think I have too much stuff, don't you think?

Awesome look! That dress is a treasure ! :)

DeleteI adore this dress! What a stunning colour (will have to remember to dig out all of my cobalt if it is going to be THE colour!), and the peachy scarf and gloves are just perfect.

ReplyDeleteDo it! Charity shops are my idea of heaven......especially the cluttered ones, those are the best for finding all sorts of treasures :)
