I have acquired many pairs of clip on earrings over the years........some I have bought from charity shops or ebay; but most have been handed down to me through grandmothers. It's difficult to know how to wear such things, as for one: I do not wear earrings often anyway. Besides this, I have pierced ears. So I have been wondering whether I could adapt said earrings and use them as collar pins?! I would definitely have to adapt them, as I'd be terrified to lose one (or both) whilst I'm out and about. This is something I will have to look into. It seems such a waste not to wear them - what do you think?
Have you ever adapted a pair of clip on earrings and if so, what method did you use?
Hello!
ReplyDeleteWe also love vintage and of course clip earrings... We always place a small amount of bostik very well pressed inside the inner side of the clip earrings to avoid loosing them...

I can't wear earrings in my pierced ears anymore, so have started wearing my clip on collection finally! Before that, I used to use them as show clips to jazz up plain(er) heels that needed a little bit of sparkle. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I will have to try that - thanks :) x
