This past week I have been out of the house quite a bit.......I've been climbing mountains and fishing for whales in rather murky waters! Erm.....of course I'm just kidding - I don't do climbing or murky waters (often) ........I do however do vintage goodies and create displays of such things. Well, at least I try to display them in an appealing way.
So, my Mum has become manager for a new local charity shop and I have been working alongside her recently, preparing the shop: for opening, then the actual opening........and right now I'm helping it tick over for a bit.
One of the first things I did, was create a 'Vintage' area within the shop. Surprised? Blah! I'm a firm believer of Vintage in a charity shop, it's exciting. I'm like a kid running to the toy section with big sparkly eyes. Every shop should have one don't you know?!
We have some cute pieces out already and I'm doing my very, Very best not to buy up all the vintage stock - it's hard, we have some nice pieces :)
All in all its actually been really great fun, finding homes for things and putting our stamp on the place - I have such different tastes to Mum, but we work well and bring our ideas together without arguing, which of course, is a bonus - can't be arguing with the boss now ;)
..........hey, take a look at the seahorse light in the last picture - someone donated it, it just had to go into the shops changing room :)
It's also getting close to Halloween now and I'm starting to think about my costume/make-up/hair!

I'm thinking though (and as much fun as it is, being a skeleton......) I might want to do something in addition to that this year - I won't lie to you when I say I'm thinking 20/30's vampire......Ooooo, Twilight? Rosalie.......you know the scene!
I might do a few different outfits.....and of course, I will document my progress along the way.
