Early Morning Dew and a Shocked Spider on a Web........

On Sunday I was awake super early......before 8am, some might consider this a lay in - I consider this sacrilege to the very idea of a lay in. Of course I wasn't awake this early by choice. No, it was the morning after the night before......when children ran amok throughout the house, giggling and feasting on crisps and chocolate.......I found my solitude outside in the garden; a little slither of peace.
In other words, my youngest had a birthday sleepover. No sleep was had. I made the most of the dewy morning sunrise and broke out the macro screw lenses and captured some natural beauty......oh and a sleepy, spider......shocked at having a massive lens threatening to destroy his arty web, he continued to give me the eyeball/s whilst I tried patiently to get his portrait.......he soon settled back down to read his Sunday paper (possibly).

Needless to say, we were all like walking zombies by mid-afternoon.........but that was days ago now and I can already look back with a sense of satisfaction that my youngest: had fun, made memories and had a lovely birthday.
