Whilst reading over many a blog post, I often come across recipes that I just have to try........
Many I've seen recently have included recipes that consist of sourdough bread. It keeps cropping up. I've heard a lot of great things abut this type of bread - many from America, so I was unsure if you could buy it here in the UK. I admit I've been very curious to try it.
Now, it is possible to make sourdough bread, but it takes a few days for a batch (or more correctly - a loaf) to be produced and be ready to eat. I might try making some at some point. But for now, I'm impatient - besides, I was going grocery shopping anyway. I managed to buy a loaf from the 'taste the difference' range in Sainsburys.
I can't pretend this recipe is mine, because quite frankly, that would be a big juicy lie - ah, and would I lie to you?!
I originally found this recipe on The Beautiful Mess Blog and the only thing I changed was: I used Philadelphia cheese spread instead of Ricotta Cheese.
It tasted wonderful, the girls enjoyed it too. The raspberries were at the 'perfection' stage..........unfortunately the peaches were not and were still a bit hard.
Tomorrow we shall have bananas instead of peaches.........yum - can't wait :)
