Lavender Hair and Stormy Summer Days......

I've wished for as long as I can remember for a 'real', 'proper' summer, the warm sunshine on my face, the pretty summer dresses. Not to mention the sunglasses I could wear. Paddling pools and picnics! Really, I could go on.........as fellow UK folk will know, summer is not usually our friend.
This morning I embraced the sudden downpour and thunder claps that wallowed loudly in the skies, the unusual clouds, grey, rippled above and the seagulls were going into overdrive..........I thought (quite stupidly) (again) that I could get away with wearing foundation as the storm would clear the air and present a certain coolness that would prevent said foundation, from melting. Wrong.  The sun returned and the temperatures once again hit highs. For once (another new for me) I am eagerly awaiting the autumn........I am ready to wear cardigans and boots, I am most definitely ready to have my makeup stay put.
Last night I lavender'd up my hair again, after the orange disaster, I'm glad to rid myself of that 'Chucky doll' colour....(it, was in no way flattering).....and I'm still using deep treatment conditioner to soothe my damaged locks, I just added a smidgen of lavender dye to it! I also gave it a little trim to get rid of the fried ends........

Yes, I sure am looking forward to things cooling down a touch...........I think my baby is too. It's even been too hot to take him out for walks recently.......bring on the cooler days!
