A Beautiful Sunday Walk Down By The River Orwell.........

One thing we can often take for granted is the beauty that is on our doorsteps.........and because we haven't 'traveled far' to observe it,  it becomes perhaps not as special. Maybe the Romans feel the same about Rome? 

When I think about where I live, I think about the bad, ugly things that are associated with Ipswich.......but just a short 10-15 minute walk from my very doorstep we are out, beside the river.

 It's so beautiful and stunning there, the cool windy air washes your worries away (seriously, it does - I can feel it!)  I can honestly hold my hands up and say 'I've taken this for granted over the years and frankly, I don't come here nearly enough'. Really, that needs to change.

Considering the beautiful weather we have been having, this is our first walk down by the River Orwell this year. So Bad, I know.

The afternoon has been beautifully overcast, with breaks in the clouds for sunshine........so it hasn't been too hot - thankfully!

The Orwell Bridge, I believe it was once used in a film years ago.......I just can't think what its called, if someone knows it would be great to here from you :)

Harrison would spend the whole day (and possibly the night too) playing in this little stream.

An old wheel has been weathered and washed up by the river bed.....I actually think it's really beautiful.

We have to cross the dual carriageway to get back to where we live........it's a scary kind of bridge, with very narrow pathways - not really the sort of place you want to linger taking photographs!
