I've kinda been pottering around the house today and like usual not getting a whole lot done, I keep getting distracted reading everyone's lovely blogs.
When the postman called earlier than usual this morning (new pin curl clips - yay) I'm wearing No makeup and was still in what I like to call 'My Comfys' then to make matters worse I had to go out onto the street to fetch the dog who was saying 'Hello, please stroke me' to the world - ugh!
- Literally my eye bags look and feel massive today, kinda like they've been to Sainsburys for their weekly shop and came away with a whole months worth! It probably has something to do with being awake until gone 3am - another lesson I wish I could learn, the 'Art of Sleep'....
just wish my mind would switch off every now and then and if not for a while in the early evening, then preferably sometime before midnight! ........and breathe..........phew I was going off on a tangent there, so anyway, thank the Lord for concealer, a bit of red lippy and a turban to cover my rootage!

Needless to say, I am feeling so much happier now I'm under the cover of my foundation and mascara :)
I picked this turban up in a vintage shop in Brighton last year, I love that even with simple makeup it can create that glamorous look - and on a very dull, very windy day like today - Glamour is absolutely required, always!
It's like I'm in a Hollywood Glamour Movie - but without the glamour, or infact the Movie - but hey, I like to play at these things and what would life be like if we didn't seize the moment every once and awhile?!
I want to try out some makeup looks for different era's and I stumbled upon a really good makeup blog earlier on, so I'm keen to have a go. What era do you like best? Do you have any suggestions on what look I should attempt to re-create?
Hi! I found your blog today because you started following me. I also started following you on Pinterest because I loved the things you pinned. Love your colorful hair. I had to read through a bunch of posts and found so many things I liked...I just HAD to follow along from across the pond. I've added you to my blog roll to so I can keep up. Thanks for following me...so I can follow you!
ReplyDelete- Oh thank you :) it's impossible, there are so many interesting blogs I keep coming across and I find myself reading them for way too long (your included)I'm hoping to get some housework done hehe x
DeleteThank you for the comment on my blog!
ReplyDeleteThe turban is amazing and so is your make up! There's nothing worst than feeling rough in the morning but if you didn't mention I could never tell!
My favourite era for make up would be the late 60s (although I've been keeping the natural late sixties make up like Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg). You should try the Biba Girl look, I'm sure it would look fantastic on you! xxx
Awww, I have come across so many lovely blog spaces recently and today I have enjoyed reading through a few of your posts. I've added you to my stream thingy, so I can keep in touch with your posts etc and read about your lovely adventures and films!
DeleteIt's funny, but I have only just got the 60's bug recently, I always thought of it as my least favourite era, but it's crept up on me and got me bad! and I will definitely give the Biba Girl Look a bit of research :) Yay.....project :)
Thank you for the sound advice and I shall look forward to reading your posts xx
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying my blog and same here, I'm following in yours so I can keep reading it!
DeleteIf you look on youtube "Lisa Eldridge Biba Fever" or type "Biba girl" on google you'll get the images straight away! xxx
