The River Orwell, A Spring Day and Those Sentimental Moments.......

river 16

There's nothing quite like a beautiful warm Sunday morning; as winter dissipates off, to somewhere I care not to know of; the spring air warmly stimulates the back of the neck and it's easy to forget that the evenings are still cold, teeth chatteringly so sometimes. It's even easier though, to show appreciation and gratitude to the little moments, spent alone, in the sunshine: Making daisy chains that are 3 metres long, watching the wind as it kisses the tree's young budding leaves or just listening to the sounds of nature; the mother bird in flight looking for a tasty meal to feed her young. It seems magical, some how doesn't it? These quiet, special moments?

Sunday was one of those days, spent strolling casually aside the river: parasol in one hand, champagne in the other. Well, not quite, but the same sentiment was there. Of course Harrison enjoyed several body cooling dips in the high tide of the river: after all, he is a dog of the water and he'll never be satisfied until he returns home wet, muddy and smelly, in need of a bubble bath.

I always say this, and I remember saying the same thing last year: How can this beautiful place be on my doorstep? A 15 minute walk away? Wow, I feel so amazingly lucky!

**I suppose it would be polite to warn you; this post is pretty photo heavy. There's just so much spring loveliness to be had here :) **

I hope you're all enjoying the arrival of spring - it is truly my new favourite season!
