Awkwardly Posing In My Brick Lane Vintage Dress.........

bricklanedress3

Sometimes when I'm posing taking pictures, it feels like I've lost all ability to look natural, or in fact - normal. Awkward moments have been in abundance; generally speaking, it appears that I must take a hundred photographs just so I can get a few 'ok' ones. I can then quickly view them - cringe and delete! Why I ever thought doing the peace sign in an outfit shoot was a good idea, I'll never know!

Even Harrison seemed quite perplexed by my odd posing methods recently - do any other bloggers do this, or is it just me?

But......la, de, da - anyways, ignoring the awkward grins - this is one of the new-to-me vintage dresses I bought when I travelled to London last month. I literally have to suck myself in and persuade the zip up (yep, it's one of those sorta dresses).......but when it's on.... Oh my......it's feels fabulous to wear - I've already worn it a couple of times already. Gotta love a little peplum dress :)

The handbag I bought last week at a work charity event, unfortunately it's not quite big enough for my everyday use........I'd never get my purse, phone, keys, camera, lenses, old receipts and rubbish all in there. It shall remain on display upstairs and come out for special occasions I think :)

Hope you all have a lovely, relaxing/eventful weekend - I have zero anything planned, which sounds perfectly great to me.....but for now, I'm off to have a glass of wine on the sofa and maybe watch a movie on netflix - cheers!

  5. The dress looks amazing! It looks like its made for you.

And yes, I'm frequently baffled by the photos I take, the other day I had to wonder what my face was doing. I took snap after snap and never quite managed to look like me! I don't know what goes on in my body when a camera appears but clearly I'm not the most natural of models.
