A Vintage Home, Outfits and Weekend Procrastinating........

tash 3
Hello, it's the weekend and whilst I had an ambitious Saturday planned; I ended up watching The Great Interior Design Challenge on catch-up TV, now I'm feeling rather inspired and in the mood to transform my kitchen - completely! However, knowing me it will be a fruitless aspiration - at least for now anyway!

So here are a few pictures from last weekend. I'd been down to London to visit my lovely friend Tash; another vintage inspired lady with a keen eye for antique and collectables. Although very different from my own retro style, I just love the way Tash has styled her living space, with simple clean lines, white walls and clusters of artwork adorning the walls. This blank canvas effect allows the unique antique items to stand centre stage, holding their own, in all their historical glory. I also love the large sash windows that flood the room with beautiful natural lighting which spot light their stage perfectly.

Tash initially moved to London to explore and develop her teaching career, as well as to challenge herself personally.

As a drama teacher living in the big city, one might be under the assumption that Tash would inject her personality into everything she touches and, if you assumed this, you assumed correctly. Tash's personal style is elegant, flamboyant, yet romantic and nostalgic; plush velvets, soft lace and pretty detailing all play a monumental role in whether a dress makes it into her already vintage wardrobe or not. Tash is not a girl of plain taste, nor does she compromise on quality, therefore, she seeks a story and the drama that goes with it in all the clothing she finds.

I wanted to take a few pictures to share with you and here they are, hope you enjoy them :)
