Hello, Happy Friday - Soooooo, who's feeling fat, full and bloated?
A few days of overindulgence has sent me off on long walks over the windy park. Which feels amazingly refreshing and invigorating after days stuck cooking, cleaning and preparing. Looking back ( as I look back every year ) on the amount of food that has been bought, cooked and then covered and stored uneaten in the fridge as possibly later disposed of; I feel we go over-board at Christmas. Wasteful really. Is there really a need to go all 'crazy lady' when buying food?
But we had a lovely Christmas, and I love our routines that make it that way. Gav and I enjoy watching 'It's a Wonderful Life' whilst eating cheese and crackers with mulled wine on our wonderfully cosy Christmas eve.
I also always make these yummy reindeer cakes with the girls, I found the idea years ago somewhere on the tinterweb and they have become a Christmas custom ever since :)
I'm looking forward to the new year - Wow 2014, how did that happen? - looking forward to less crazy Christmas stuff and more crazy fun blog work. Actually, now would probably be a good idea to mention the blog awards: Dear Thirty is up for an award in the lifestyle category (argh!!), this is my first blog award, so I'm in uncertain territory here - nervous/excited!!
If you have a spare minute, I would certainly appreciate a cheeky vote from you :) There is also an option to share on social media such as Facebook, Twitter etc.

Off topic slightly there.........Oooops, but yes! I hope you had a lovely Christmas too..........x
