A Little Black Dress and Wine Plentiful........

Once more, I've had a pretty hectic week. I'm not sure whether its because Christmas is fast approaching or if my schedule has become more demanding?! But whatever has happened A LOT of wine has been involved. Yes, it was my birthday on Thursday (I was working all day so it was pretty uneventful as far as celebrating goes) and on the Friday my lovely friend Kerry took me on the train to Colchester for clothes/Christmas shopping.......primarily for a dress to go out and celebrate in. I tried on the most incredible maroon coloured velvet dress with 3/4 length sleeves in H&M and it was just - perfect! However, maybe not so perfect for a Saturday night out on the town.......but maybe the sort of 'perfect' for a nice meal or an evening do at a wedding. So instead I purchased two dresses, including this black one. Now, I don't usually wear something so black, plain and erm.......short. I'm a colour crazy sorta gal........but I wanted to try something a little different for me.

Not that you can really tell in these pictures but i'd freshened up my hair with red through from the roots and added a hot pink to the ends ( just for a little funkiness you understand, for the dress-  ha!).

So, much wine was consumed; lots of conversation was had about completely interesting, yet irrelevant and possibly pointless subjects and ideas. However, it was lovely to see some of my friends again and catch up........I was very hungover tired on the Sunday. Completely worth it though!
