Lots of Butterflies on a Sunday Afternoon...........

Butterflies

This weekend has been rather uneventful, in the respect that yesterday was spent chilling out at home on the sofa reading, drinking coffee and generally being a lazy layabout.

Today, we are all up and almost dressed ready to help my parents put up a shed in their garden - all hands on deck........so its another 'dress down kinda day'. No interesting pictures to take this weekend!

So......here are some pictures from last Sunday. We have noticed recently that there have been loads (possibly hundreds) of butterflies in the garden. The Red Admiral type. More butterflies than usual; maybe its the glorious summer sunshine that's made them breed like crazy?! We had a sneaky peak over the fence next door and realised that the butterflies were living there; sunbathing on the wall of the out building.

Obviously I had to snap a picture (or two) including one that decided to take up temporary home on my washing........it was all very pretty, for a Sunday :)

  1. Wow, that's a lot of butterflies!!! How beautiful! It sounds like you've had a really nice summer in the UK this year. I watch BBC news sometimes and there have been segments about the nice weather :)
