A Cool Day to Break the Summer Heat......and a Deer!

This afternoon we decided to have a little dog walk at a park/woods very close to us.......it was cooler, and dare I said it 'chilly'- .......my Mum says she can feel that Autumn is on its way. I don't mind, it's nice to feel free from the heat for a while.......and it felt good to wear foundation that wasn't melting in the summer sun.

Wild blackberries adorned the pathways through the woods - most still not ripe, I might add. Maybe its still a little early as yet........or maybe the shady woods have stunted their growth?

It's really very pretty........and woodpeckers live in these trees. We have also noticed this year badgers, rare butterflies and Kestrels.

.............and then, when we where exiting the wood area we spotted a dear - I was lucky to have my camera handy still.
Apparently this is called a Muntjac deer..........I think!
Very exciting, never seen a deer here before :)

  2. What a cool park! Sounds like a super nice place to go for a stroll. The weather turning cooler sounds lovely. I dream of cooler days, its winter here at the moment but you wouldn't know it. I'm living in the tropics and its hot and yucky year round.
