Banished Lazy Days, Peacock Blue Hair and a Tasty Salad............
Well, it's official - the kids have begun their long awaited summer holidays from school. The shackles are off and the lay-in's have commenced. I love the school holidays, lazy days and late dinners. No super early mornings, lunchboxes or uniform ironing. Just us and the inevitable loss of time.
In a few weeks from now, I will start to feel edgy, almost panicky - it always happens. It's the loss of time you see! All the days rolling their way into one. So, my plan this holiday is to get out of the house as much as possible, even if its just for a little dog walk.........and not to lose contact with the outside would, because, with my kids..........and their lazyitis, Pyjama days can turn into Pyjama weeks if I'm not careful. Ok, so I'm exaggerating (A LOT), but I'm sure you get what I mean. I need to make the most of our days at home.
I've been asked a lot recently about how I get my hair white and how I get the pastel shades into my hair, so a tutorial maybe in order perhaps. My hair is being somewhat troublesome recently. My fault entirely. Stupidly I mixed up a colour called Peacock Blue, mistaking it in its identical bottle for my Lilac. Ugh, I've been trying to wash it out for about 2 weeks now. I still have a blue tinge to my hair - Ooooops! That colour is severely potent. I'm still waiting to try out the apricot colour that I've had sitting in my bathroom for about two months now. Need to rid myself of this blue!!!
So yesterday, I was browsing my favourite blogs, as you do.........and I decided to make this salad (above) recommended by the lovely Kate at Scathingly Brilliant. I teamed mine with roasted chicken pieces and baby potatoes and it was fabulous. In fact, I'm evening eating the left over salad right now for lunch :)
