A Madmen Type of Typewriter is the Perfect Vintage Find!

As I said before, I've had a marvelous thrifty kinda week..........which inevitably happens towards the end of the month just before payday! But, who am I with my ever lowering bank balance to deny my home the beautiful things it requires?! Ha - yes, it is not me that desires such pleasurable items.........at least I tell myself this anyway :)
One of the finds this week includes an awesome vintage typewriter, which I spotted in the window of a local charity shop............you see, I had no intention of even going into the shop - but he wooed me from behind the glass, sitting there looking all showstopping in a display of vintage type roses! He was perfection, in every way. Complete with case, with working lock and key. He even had his original instruction booklet. I ordered a new ribbon and now he works like the dreamboat he promised to be and I, for one have enjoyed typing away like Peggy from Madmen.

  1. I used a typewriter like this all through grade school because we didn't get a computer until 1997 lol. I LOVED using it because there were these ball type things you could change out and make it a cursive font. I don't know what the name of the part is. But no one ever had that font but me :)
